EDITORIALS.
All newspapers have a pride in making heir editorial page worth
-while, and enough of the ego to make themselves believe what they
•write is above the average.
Sometimes a fellow feels that he bus written an editorial which
Charles Dana, Horace (Ircely, Henry Watterson or Henry Grady
would feel proud t<> claim as one oi iheir outbursts of genius.
]t is unfortunate that so few readers of a paper ever look at the
editorials because it wounds the pride and (audible ambition of so
many of us to be aware of this fact.
Nevertheless it is true that, the editorial opinions of a paper arc
not what the vast majority of readers desire or eare lor. In a local
paper they want the local news and hapenings of the town and coun
try, and in a daily the sensational and the general news of the world.
They take a daily to get this, and a home paper for the local news
and happenings.
The Times likes to always express a few of i1 ’s thoughts editori
ally for it’s own satisfaction and to gratify its own vanity, and that
is why we are writing this.
This is all the space we have for such stuff this week as fortun
atelywe have more local matter than we can use which, we feel sure
will he pleasing to our many readers.

CHRISTIAN CHURCH.
Revival Services Continued.
('onie right along and enjoy them
right now. Fine audiences, fine
spirit, fine enthusiasm. Conver
sions and additions to the church
are expected this week. Last
Sunday night a great crowd fill
ed the entire church including the
balconies. Our efficient ushers
that night were kept busy. Air.
Claud AI ay ue proved him self‘a
t. 4ie choir and chorus leader and
director, as he kept both choirs
behind him and above him, and
the large audience, in front of him
singing in splendid time. Some
one said the crowd was the larg
est lie ever saw in the church for
a like service. No doubt it was
one of the largest; but let us have
even a larger crowd next Sunday
night. We can if you will come
and get others to come. The good
women of our community tilled
the church Friday afternoon. It
was a great service. The flowers
added much to the meeting. Next
Sunday morning we all want the
largest Sunday school we’ve ever
had. Let us make it2so at least.
Let the boys and girls stay for
church. Aly! What a meeting we
could have if every one would be
at church!
Next Sunday is Easter. The
morning subject will be, “An Eas
ter Angel’s Voice.’’ Night sub
ject, “One Tiling.”
Oui |<'. W. B. AI. will have its
special Easter meeting Sunday
afternoon. ('. E. meets 8 o’clock.
