FEW CLEAN PERSONS BY BETSY DOOLITTLE. Dear Readers: I have been trying for some time to teach aiul instill in the minds of the readers of The Times the importance of cleanliness. This is a hard undertaking for it is surprising to know how few really clean people there at* and what a difficult matter it is To get them to even become interested sufficiently to think about it. however, and the only way to arounse you along this line is to keep continually telling and show ing how filthy you are until your conscience becomes thoroughly awakened and you realize your filthiness nacj uncleanliness. Like all great reforms this one will finally be accomplished, but it w ill he done by degrees and as the people are educated to its nec essity. We talk about the filthy negro, the Greek and the Dago, but in many, many things we are as fil thy as they are. Ignorance and the lack of being told of them is the A Card of Thanks. We wish to thank our good neighbors and many friends for their loving kindness shown dur ing the short illness and death, of our dear husband, and father. We also wish to thank our good pas tor for the kindness and sympa thy' shown us. And again we want to thank each and all for the beau tiful flowers brought as an em blematic tribute to his life. May God’s richest blessings rest upon each and every one, is £jg.ir prayers.—Mrs. C. E. Davis ®r.d children. Earning and Spending. Earning money keeps some men from their w!-m. The Winder National Bank / THE WINDER NATIONAL BANK WINDER, GEORGIA cause. Did you know there were thou sands of womfen in America who feel themselves as the select and intelligent society who eat break fasts in bed, without bathing their hands and faces and washing out their mouths? There are few more ti 111 1 y' habits than this. The woman who has been reared to do this is unconsciously ignorant of how fil thy it is. Eat your morning meal without bathing your face and hands and rinsing out your mouth! Could a Chinaman or dago do much worse? And yet this is practiced in high society as well as in low society. I am not going to talk much on this subject, in which I am so vit ally interested, and only enough on this particular phase of un cleanliness. Hoping the lady readers of The Times will become interested in our column and help to increase its readers, 1 am, Sincerely yours, BETSY DOOLITTLE. FAUST IN BANKS COUNTY. Rev. W. 11.
