Yearwood is spend ing some time with relatives in At lanta. A beautiful welcome service was held at the Methodist FhureTt last Saturday for the returned soldiers, eleven attended in uniforms. Ser vices closed at this Church Sun day night, large congregations at tended, fine sermons were enjoyed and seven were added to the church. Miss Mary Nelle Sims entertain ed a number of her friends Mon day evening in honor of tier guest. Mitchell-Thompsoa. Miss Alma Mitchell and Prof. Henry Thompson were married Sunday afternoon at the residence of Esq. J. T. Harrison. Miss Mitchell is the youngest daughter of Mr. Henry Mitchell, a wealthy planter of 801 l Springs Hist rist. She is a young woman of main accomplishments and has many friends who welcome her to our town. Prof. Thompson has spent some time in the army ser vice in France and is now engeged in teaching and farming. He is a splendid Christian and right ly deserves the companion he has chosen.
