Social and Personal News Wood ruff-Estes. Mr. and Mrs. <l. W. "Woodruff, of Winder, announce the engage ment of their daughter, Thelma, to Mr. .Joseph L. Estes, of Atlanta, the marriage to be solemnized m December. No cards. The above announcement will be of interest to the people of Winder where Miss Woodruff lias made her home all her life. She is one ol the most popular young women here and graduated with honors from Shorter College last year. Shields-Sims. The marriage of Miss Mary Shields to Mr. Mark Sims is of in terest to their many friends here and in Atlanta. They were married at the Chris tian Church last Friday evening by Rev. If. E. Aloss. the pastor of the bride. Miss Shields was one of the most beautiful and popular young women in Winder, where she has lived since a child. She has many friends here who regret that she will not reside in Winder in the future. Mr. Sims was a successful young business man of Winder, until recently made his home in Atlanta. They left on the late train for Chattanooga for a short trip be fore taking up theii; residence in Atlanta. Reid-M Cain. .Judge 11. T. Reid, of Breman, announces the engagement ot his daughter, Myrtie Belle, to Mr. G. W. McCain, of Breman, tire mar riage to take place early in Decem ber. No cards. Hamby of Winder, Ga.. were united in marriage on last Sunday p. m. at 4 o’clock at the home of Rev. B. W. Mercier, of Auburn, Mr. Mercier officiated. Mrs. W. A. Bradley Entertains the ZHlelen E. Moses Division On Monday, Mrs Bradley enter tained the Moses Division of the Missionary Society of the Christ ian Church. The Society is divid ed into two divisions: Mrs. J. T. Walden is Leader of this one. Af ter the business, a delightful social hour was enjoyed and during the afternoon some fifteen ladies had 1 the pleasure of being with Mrs. Bradley. The two divisions are enjoying a friendly contest against each other. The next Division meeting will he with Mrs. Claude Mayne at 3:30 o’clock on the first Monday in December. Mrs. W. O. Perry Entertains the M. E. Harlan Division. On Monday, Mrs. Perry enter tained the Harlan Division. Mrs. Vella Mae Smith is the Leader of this division and an enthusiastic meeting was held. Mrs. Erastus Smith, Misses Pearl Saunders and Willie Meadow gave their names for membership in the Missionary Society, After the business, a so cial hour was enjoyed. The next meeting of the Harlan Division will he with Mrs. Vella Mae Smith at 3:30 o’clock <oi the second I Monday in December. Mr. and M's.
