Hill for Treasurer. On account of
the simplicity of the class the
white rose was selected for class
flower. On account, of the near
sighted mess of the class and to
the commeration of the will of the
Senior Class of 1919, we selected
idle get en and w hite for class col-
ors.
All classes have the ambition of
being in the literary world and we
have chosen the class poet to be
Sarah doe Unbelts, whose wit and
humor is surpassed by none.
The etch of the pencil suggest
ed to us to have a cartoonist, and
.Miss Louise Smith was chosen and
we take great pleasure in wishing
her the sweetest comical dreator
that she may brighten up some of
the genius in our class.
Our historian must have good
memory and brains for our class
has quite a difficult history to

chosen as historian.

Athens Ceremonial to be held at
Athens, Ga., on November 26th,
will eclipse anything yet pulled off
under his administration and no

ceremonial. Athens lias made
great preparations for cnertain

RESOLUTION OF RESPECT.
Inasmuch as it has pleased Al
mighty Hod, in his providence, to
take out of the world the soul of
our fellow-townsman, Mr. Hugh
A. ('arit hers.
And whereas his going away
has left a vacancy on our board of
directors of the Winder National
Hank, which is hard to fill, and de
prives us of a spirit progressive
and loyal to every interest of the
bank.
Therefore lie it resolved, That
we deplore his passing away. The
Winder National Rank, has lost a
faithful and efficient member, the
Town, County and State a valued
and loyal supporter of its many
interest.
Resolved further, that we ex
tend to his most affectionate and
devoted wife, his only brother,
and relatives our deepest sympa
thy in this their great loss and
sorrow, and commend them to the
God whom he loved nad served.
Resolved further, that a copy of
tliese resolutions he spread on the
minutes of the Winder National
Rank, a copy be furnished the
family, also Winder News and
Harrow Times be furnished a copy
for publication.

Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Bailey spent
last Sunday in Winder, guests of
Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Sinili.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McElhannon
were in Nicholson Sunday, visit
ing Mr. and Mrs. Frank McElhan
non. Mr. McElhannon has been
quite ill for several days, but we
are glad to note that he is improv
ing.
The many friends of Mrs. Mary
A. Wood will learn with sorrow of
her illness at. her home on Route
2. She has been stricken with par
alysis, and her condition is
thought to be serious. Mrs. Wood
is a sister of Messrs. J. N., R. 0.,
<>. !>.. and S. T. Ross, and a dau
ghter of the late Captain and Mrs.
T. L. Ross, who lived in .Jackson
county. She is a widow, her hus
band passed away many years ago.

Miss Lena Hill was a visitor to
Winder this week.
Rev. and Mrs. J. W. Brinsfield
and children have returned from
Atlanta. Rev. Brinsfield has ac
complished great good in this
community and many friends wel
come him with his splendid fam
ily for another year.
Mr. and Mrs. Gus Wages, who
have lived in Sandersville for the
past year, have moved back here
to reside.
Dr. Harrell, of Atlanta, spent
the week-end here with his wife.
