(Special.)—A small fire occurred in the building now occupied by the Lumkin Law schoool of the University of Georgia today at noon. The building wax saved from the flumes by two students, C. N. Welch and O. W. Holmes, who were studying for the Christmas, examinations iu one of the class roi/nri.s of the school. A large crowd gathered around th< building quickly, as the lire was making great headway, but fortunately' it was discovered in time for the fire men to control the flames and very little damage was done. The stu dents at the university are stand ing the examination for the pre sent term and school will close on the 19th of December and open again on January 2,192 b.
