NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS.
Sealed proposals will be received by
the undersigned, Ordinary of Barrow
County, Georgia, at the office of the
Ordinary at Winder, Ga., at 11 o’clock
A. M., on the 12tli day of April 1920,
for the furnishing of all labor material,
equipment, and other things necessary
for the construction of 6.842 miles of
road between the Jackson County line
and the AYalton County line.
The work will consist of 1.184 acres
of clearing and grubbing; 28189.1 cubic
yards of common excavation; 1092 cu
bic yards of rock excavation; 17756.4
cubic yards of top-soil surfacing: 907.5
lin. feet of 15 inch pipe; 497.5 lin. feet
of 18 inch pipe; 377.5 lin. feet of 18
inch pipe; 155.6 cubic yards of concrete
in hettdwalls; 56.01 cubic yards of class
“A” concrete; 9.59 cubic yards of
class “B” concrete und 4118 pounds
of reinforcing steel.
The said work shall begin on or about
the Ist day of May 1920, and shall be
completed within 120 working days.

in the office of the Ordinary of Barrow
County, Winder, Ga., in the office of the
Building, Atlanta, Ga., and in the office

Plenty of wealthy church mem
bers have barns for their cattle
garages for their automobiles, but
never a sign of a home lor their
preachers.
A beautiful painted parsonage
may not always mean a live con
gregation. but one not painted nev

Despite all the valuable suggest
ed. suggestions the prachers and
the school teachers; and the the
preachers are not going to strike.
Their services are too valuable to
the country to quit under any ad
verse conditions.
The churches of the living (rod
were never intended to he places
of amusement and entertainment;
on the other hand they are in the
world for human betterment and
the uplift of all.
If you want yleasure, and fun
go to the theatres. If you want

the undersigned, and must be accompa
nied by a certified check, or bidders
bond, for five per cent of the amount
bid.
Bond will be required of the success
ful bidder as required by law.
The right is reserved to reject any
or all bids and to waive all formalities.
