‘TAKE THE WATER OUT OF
WAGES’’ IS SLOGAN NOW.
Atlanta, Ga., March 23.—“ Take
the water out of wages ’ is the
slogan just now among business
men and corporations who have
made a study of conditions. The
wav to do it, it is stated, to
bring production up to the ooitr
wherp it matches the pay for it.
“Years ago we used to cry out
against ‘water’ stock; indeed,the
demand became so universal that
all trusts and combinations were
sinaily regulated, and today *t
seldom if over hear of such a
thing,” said a well known Atlanta
business loan.
“Time has brought many chan
ges and lias brought us to a very
peculiar condition. Now there
in a great cry throughout America
to take the “water” out of wages
and its is generally conceded that
|the point where it matches the pay
for it.”
