The wedding of Miss Esther
Elizabeth Henson to Garl Dickey
McNelley, of Anniston, Ala., took
plane Wednesday afternoon. -July
21st, at sjx o'clock at the First
Baptist elnireh. The Rev. dno. H.

ty entered. The bride came in

who gave her in marriage. .Miss
Flossie Henson, her sister, was

The bride wore a suit ot dark
blue tricotine with bisque geor
gette waist and gloves to match.
Her shoes and hat were of dark
brow u satin, and she carried a bou
quet of white rose bunds show ered
with valley lillies. Miss Flossie
Henson, maid of honor, was gown
ed in white georgette crape and
satin combined, and carried a bou
quet of pink rose buds. Ihe flow
er girls in dainty frocks of pink
organdie carried baskets of -sweet
peas and carnations.
After the ceremony the bride
and bridegroom left in an auto lor
Atlanta accompanied by Misses
Flossie and Maude Henson and
Messrs, dames Hutson and Emory
Harbor. After a short trip to the
mountains of North Georgia and
Tennessee they will reside in An
niston. Ala.
The out of town guests were

A lovely affair of Satuurday af-
TCrnoon was the alfresco party giv
en by -Mrs. Guv Kilgore ami Mrs.
C. S." Williams, at the home of Mrs
Kilgore on AVoodlawu avenue, A
profusion of yellow daisies and
sun-flowers were used to decorate
carrying out the color niotit of
green and yellow. Mrs. I’aul W il
iiams and Miss Pauline Camp serv
ed punch from a beautiful cornet
of the porch. Music on the Edison
was a special feature of the after
noon. Twelve failles were placed
on the porch and lawn uhete
“bunco'’ and “500" were played
and where cut glass comports were
Idled with candy.
During the afternoon punch and
sandwiches were served at the ta
bles and late in the afternoon a
most delight fiftil frozen fruit sal
ad was served. Those assisting
the hostesses were Miss Daisy
Hnmscur. the house guest of Mrs.
Kilgore and Miss Ida Kilgore and
m.. ,| c Pratt. Some fifty
friends enjoyed the hospitality ot
these charming -young matrons.

PICNIC GIVEN BY THE
C. W. B. M SOCIETY.
On Tuesday afternoon the mem
bers of Ihe Missionary society gave
a picnic near the home of Dr. and
Airs. E. F. Saxon for their former
president. Miss Arlevia Ihirson. he
fore leaving for Atlanta to make
her home. This auxiliary has done
splendid work the past year and
has been highly complimented by
the Slate and Regional Secreta
ries on their splendid reports.
Avery pleasant afternoon was
spenl and all kinds of good things
to eat were enjoyed.

Mr. and Mrs. J. P>. Mayo enter-,

a prom party Wednesday evening
at their home on Broad street. 1 be
house was beautifully decorated
with pot flowers and lillies. As
the guests were received punch

gars had charge of the victrola
throughout the evening. A deli
cious ice course was served.

the latter part of' the week from a
month’s visit to Atlanta and Con
cord. Concord was the home of
Mrs. Williams before her marriage
and her visits there are always
greatly enjoyed.

let them he reported promptly to
the authorities that they may he
