Men often got peculiar ideas in their heads.
O fc-
The trouble with most of ns no never listen to reason until il is
too late.
One of the weaknesses of humanity is that appeals to prejudices
reach them much easier than appeals to their better judgment.
GIVE THOS. M BELL A BIG MAJORITY.
(Congressman Tints. M. Hell is one of the few members who looks
after the interest of all his constituents.
It makes no difference to him wlmt your standing may he in your
county, if you wish information along any line or help which comes
under his jurisdiction he is always ready to respond.
A Congressman like Mr. Hell is a valuable asset to any district and.
every democrat should turn out next Tuesday and help to give him
a tremendous majority over his republican opponent.
- - O
THE ELECTION NEXT TUESDAY.
The State and National election comes off nc\l Tuesday and every
man should turn out and vote for the nominees.
Most all white men in Harrow county claim to he democrats, or
they would not participate in a democratic primary.
It would be a difficult matter to believe a man would vote in a
DEMOCRATIC I'KIMAKY and thtn not stand by the result of that
primary. •• ,
If you are a democrat endorse your party nominee,s and if you can t
do this you should quit the party ami join one to your liking.
The Cox and Roosevelt democratic cltetors for Georgia should re
ceive the vote of every man in Harrow eounty who professes to he a
democrat.
Thos, K. Watson, for I . S. Senator; Tims. VV. Hardwick, for C.o\ ent
er; Thos M. Bell, for Congress, with all of the other nominees of the
party should get every vote cast tor them and every-, Note opposing
them in the reeent primary.
This is a duty you owe yourself and vour party which you cannot
afford to disregard and maintain your sell respect.
If you have so far forgotten your obligations after having register
ed you vote ill the pimav that you are inclined t bolt your paity ,-au
didates and vote against certain ones of them just place yoursell in
their position and imagine how you would leel were tlie voters to easl
their ballots against you after you had won the nomination.
l)o unto others as you would have them do to you and you will be
following the Golden Rule; you will tee! you have done the right
and honorable way and you will feel you have acted as your real
manhood dictates.
About HOO ,'onicn have registered lor the city yelection ot Winder.
Tlie City election of Winder comes off next Wednesday.
Remember the state and national election takes place next luesday
<vmil every man should turn out and vote, lor the democratic nomint <s.

enlightened conscience is a pretty sate guide to ones die. but
it plays havoc with a fellow if it believes falsehoods and clings to
error.
THE PRESENT FINANCIAL SITUATION.
The cotton situation has been getting better for several days and
if the price continues to advance thtre will be life in old Georgia yet.
No one disputes the fact that the staple on w hich most of the credit
in the South is establishtd wont too low considering the high prices
paid for everything this year, and that this lias robbed tbe South ol
its prosperity and crippled all lines ot buiness.
It has shown, however, the importance of saving and being ready
for these, sudden changes which invariably come after periods ot
prosperity and which hurt most those who have not prepared for them.
The thing for all of us is to do the best we can, quit talking bard times,
cense putting the blame altogether on others instead of acknowledging
our own errors and mistakes and determine to live within our means
This is the sane and sensible view to take and the way to overcome
present conditions.
0-
Lincoln Johnson, the negro national committeeman from Georgia
of the Republican party, is very anxious that every white man who is
opposed to while supremacy in the South should go to the polls next
Tuesday and vote for the republican nominees. He feels that it wit
vindicate him for having the negroes of Georgia till all the ledcral
offices, in the event the republicans win the election. Lincoln is black
as the ace of spades, is one of Atlanta’s shrewd negroes, but we hardly
think he can get many white men to follow him.

HOLDER'S PAPER
In point of service, Hon. Thos.
.M. Bell is the nestor of the Geor

I'or fourteen years lie has repre

To win the nomination he had a

No member of the national house
of representatives ever fought bal
der or oftener to retain his seat
than has Mr. Bell. Every two years
lie has to contest for the nomina

general election. In spite of oppo

each election.
lb* will he cleeled again on No
