Air. W. J. Herrin is still con
fined to his room and suffering
much pain from a severe carbuncle
on his neck. He has been bearing
this affliction for three weeks and
we hope a change for the better
will soon take place so that lie may
get out. He is very much missed
form his place of business.

committee of the Federated clubs
met with Airs. W. 11. Quarterman
at her home on Candler St.
Tuesday evening the Young
Alatrons Federated club held their
twelvth anniversary party.
Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’
clock the ladies of the Christian
church gave a pantry shower at
the parsonage for their new pastor
and wife, Rev. and Airs. Stanley
R. Grubb.
Tlie Woman’s club will hold its
regular monthly meeting at 3:30
o’clock at the Baptist church.

Potts will entertain a number of
her friends at her home on Ste
phens street in honor of her sister,

the Young Matrons Federated
club which has so long been noted
for the beautiful receptions they
have tendered their husbands each
year, gave their annual party.
The living room, library and din
ing room presented the appear
ance of a real spring flower gar
den. The punch bowl was em
edded in johnquils, roses and ivy
and presided over by Mrs. J. L.
Jackson and Airs. 11. E. Millikin.
The dining table had as its center
piece a French basket of red roses
and suspended from the chande-

Progressive games were enjoyed
and throughout the evening de
lightful music was rendered on
