Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moore and Miss Bessie Nolen of Atlanta are visiting relatives at Cork. Messrs Ed Thompson, Henry, Thompson, H. T. Thompson, C. A. Towles, A. J. Hay, J. W. Mayfield and Miss Vivian Hay spent a pleasant afternoon with their afflicted friend C. N. Mayfield last week. Last Wednesday night, C. N. May field received two nice bouquets which was very much appreciated. Messrs. J. W. Mayfield and A. J. Hay spent Saturday evening with Mrs EdmonaHay. Mr. Jim White of Atlanta was visit ing home folk Sunday. Col. J. K. Smith of Macon was the guest of Hon S. K. Smith Saturday and Sunday. Miss Alice Smith of Flovilla spent Sunday with S. K. Smith. Mr and Mrs. Willie Smith, Mr and Mrs. Riley Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Plymaie called on C, N. Mayfield Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Mayfield of Berner, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs, R. M. Rolling Fork, Miss., March 22, — Every member of the grand jury in the circuit court here yesterday in dicted himself for violia'ing the Sun day liquor law, and each appeared before Judge Booth and was fined $lO, with a lecture from the bench. The self-indicted grand jurymen also re turned bill’s against several petit jurors for the same offonce. Miss Se!a Edwards of Monticello is visiting her sister Mrs. J.J Torbett. The entertainment given in hon t of Miss Edwards by Mrs. J. J, Torbet was very much enjoyed by all pres ent.
