“My health was excellent until about a
nr ago, when 1 had a complete collapse
>m overdoing socially, not getting the
pper rest, and too many late suppers.
Kr stomach was in a dreadful condition,
n my nerves all unstrung.
Pi was advised by a friend to try Pe

lak it and then another, and kept using
jr three months.
kt the end of that time my health was
ored, my nerves no longer troubled Tne,
1 felt myself once more .nd able to

it Peruna is deserving of praise
There are many reasons why society
men break down, why their nervous
terns fail, whv they have systemic or
vie catarrh. Indeed, they are especially
hie to these ailments. No wonder they
pure the protection of Peruna. It is
iir shield and safeguard.

MAY-JUNE MUSIC FESTIVAL.
To Be Given in Atlanta Will Be Nota
ble Event in Its Line.
All preparations have been made
for one of the most notable events
musically ever given in the south —
the May-June music festival, which
will be given in Atlanta May 2a, 3U,
31 and June 1. Dr. J. Lewis Browne,
the director, has signed all the art
ists and he has already begun rehear
sals of his chorus of 200. In addiaon
to this chorus, there will be a cho
rus of 400 school children.
Three of the singers engaged are
from the Metropoluan Opera House
in New York. They are Madame
Schumann-Heink, the mezzo-soprano;
Campanari, the barytone, and Bessie
Abbott. Miss Abbott has never before
appeared in Atlanta. She was one of
Conreid’s leading sopranos during the
past season. She is a 'southern girl,
being a granddaughter of Andrew
Pickens, former governor of South
Carolina, and ambassodor to Russia.
There will be eleven artists in all,
including a tenor, a barytone, one or
two contraltos and sopranos and a
violin and ’cello soloist. Dr. Browne
will have twenty-six musicians from
the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra,
in addition to as many more local
musicians.
The festival will be given at pop
ular prices. Seats for the four per
formances to hear grand opera stars
will sell at $3, $4 and $5, or 75c, $1
and $1.25 a performance. The festival
will be given in an auditorium seat
ing 3,800 people, and brilliantly light
ed with arches of electric lights. The'
railroads will offer reduced rates to
Atlanta during the festival. Dr. j
Browne will mail a prospectus and
souvenir of the festival to anyone who 1
drops him a postal at 519 Empire
Building, Atlanta.

BABY WASTED TO SKELETON.
In Torments With Terrible Sores on
Face aril Body—Tore at Flesh
—Cured by Cuticura.
“My little son. when about a year and
a hnlf old, began to have sores come out
on his face. They began to come on his
anns, then on other parts of his body, and
then one came on his chest, worse than
th° others. Still he grew worse. At the
end of about a year and a half of suffering
he grew so bad I bad to tie his hands in
ninths at night to keen him from scratch
ing the sores and fearing the flesh. He got
to be a mere skeleton and was hardly able
to walk. I sent to the drug store and got
a cake of (’uti'-ura Scan and a box of Cuti- j
cura Ointment, and at. the end of about, j
two months the sores were all well. He !
has never had any sores of any kind since, j
end I can sincereb' say that only for
the Outimira Do...lies my precious child j
would have died from those terrible sores. ;
I used only one ont-o of Soap and about j
three bo-es of O'ntment. Mrs. Egbert i

One of the Important Duties of Physicians and
the Well-Informed of the World
is to learn as to the relative standing and reliability of the leading manufactur
ers of medicinal agenls, as the most eminent physicians arc the most careful os to
the uniform quality and perfect purity of remedies prescribed by them, and it is well
known to physicians and the Well-Informed generally that the California 1 04 S\ rup
Cos., bv reason of its correct methods and perfect equipment and the ethical character of
its product has attained to the high standing in scientinc and commercial circles which
is accorded to successful and reliable houses only, and, therefore, that the name of the
Company has become a guarantee of the excellence of its remedy.
TRUTH AND QUALITY
appeal to the Well-Informed in every walk of life and are essential to permanent suc
cess and creditable standing, therefore we wish to call the attention of all who would
enjoy good health, with its blessings, to the fact that it involves the question of right
living with all the term implies. With proper knowledge of what is best each hour
of recreation, of enjoyment, of contemplation and of effort may be made to contribute
to that end and the use of medicines dispensed with generally to great advantage, but
as in many instances a simple, wholesome remedy may be invaluable if taken at the
proper time, the California big Syrup Cos. feels that it is alike important to present
truthfully the subject and to supply the one perfect laxative remedy which has won
the appoval of physicians and the world-wide acceptance of the Well-Informed because
of the excellence of the combination, known to all, and the original method of manufac
ture, which is known to the California l'ig Syrup Cos. only.
This valuable remedy has been long and favorably known under the name of
Syrup of Figs—and has attained to world-wide acceptance as the most excellent of
family laxatives, and as its pure laxative principles, obtained from Senna, are well
known to physicians and the W r ell-In formed of the world to be the best of natural
laxatives, we have adopted the more elaborate name of Syrup of bigs and Elixir of
Senna —as more fully descriptive of the remedy, but doubtless it will always be
called for by the shorter name of Syrup of Figs—and to get its beneficial effects always
note, when purchasing, the full name of the Company California big Syrup Cos.
plainly printed on the front of every package, whether you simply call for —Syrup of
Figs —or by the full name —Syrup of Figs and Elixir of Senna as Svrup of Figs and
Elixir of Senna —is the one laxative remedy manufactured by the California Fig Syrup
Cos. and the same heretofore known by the name Syrup of bigs which has given
satisfaction to millions. The genuine is for sale by all leading druggists throughout
the United States in original packages of one size only, the regular price of which
is fifty cents per bottle.
Every bottle is sold under the general guarantee of the Company, filed with the
Secretary of Agriculture, at Washington, D. C., that the remedy is not adulterated or
misbranded within the meaning of the bood and Drugs Act, June 3°th, 1906.

What is medicine for? To cure you, if sick, you say.
But one medicine will not cure every kind of sickness, because different
medicines act on different parts of the body. One medicine goes to the liver,
another to the spine, Wine of Cardui to the womanly organs. So that is why
• Wine of Cardui
has proven so efficacious in most cases of womanly disease. Try it.
Mrs. Wm. Turner, of Bartonville, 111., writes: "I suffered for years with female diseases, and doctored
without relief. My back and head would hurt me, and 1 suffered agony with bearing-down paina. At last
1 took Wine of Cardui and now 1 am in good health.” Sold everywhere. In SI.OO bottles.
