The development of this branch of the University at Athens, Ga., has been wonder ful. There are now three large dormi tories, three school buildings, and a new dining hall seating 400 students. There are 17 departments of instruction and Bfi offi cers and teachers. The schools of Domes tic Science and Manual Arts arc handsome ly housed and equipped. The Department of Music includes instruction in Common School Music teaching, chorus singing, the piano, and the stringed instruments. The School Orchestra numbers 18 pieces. The most wonderful thing about the school is the small expense of the school year. Thcs® charges have kept down to the low est possible ilgure. Thus hundreds of stu dents got a wholesome, practical, sensible education there, who could not afford to attend other schools. The graduates are in demand at good salaries everywhere. Two of them have just been called into the fac ulties of the Normal Schools of Virginia, after teaching several years in Georgia. Students are registering rapidly for tho new year. Only 400 can be accommodated. President Branson has just issued an at tractive picture Catalogue of the school. a FAMILIAR BREED. “Who was Diogenes?” “He was the man who lived in the tub.” “And kept the other boarders hump ing for a chance to take a bath?”— Louisville Courier-Journal. One morning ave discovered a little yellow pim ple on- one of her eyes. Doctor _>o. S said that we had better take her to some eye specialist, since it was an ulcer. So we went to Oswego to doctor .No. 4, and he said the eyesight was gone. We were near ly discdwrrtged, but 1 thought we would try the Cntieura Treatment, so 1 purchased a set of Cntieura Remedies, which cost me fl, and in three days our daughter, who, had been sic-l: about eight months, showed great improvement, and in one week all sores had disappeared. Of course it could not restore the eyesight, but if we hud used Cutieura in time, we are conlident it would have saved the eye. Mrs. Frank Abbott, R. F. i>. No. !). WOMEN WHO CHARM Health Is the First Essential Toward Mailing' a Woman Attractive. MISS HULDA KUGHLER MISS ELIZABETH WYNN There is a beauty nnd attractive ness in health which is far greater than mere regularity of feature. A sickly, irritable, and complaining woman always carries a cloud of depression with her; she is not only unhappy herself but is a damper to all joy and happiness when with her family and friends. It is the bright, healthy, vivacious woman who always charms and carries sunshine wherever she goes. If a woman finds that her energies are flagging- and that everything tires her; if her feminine system fails to perform its allotted duties, there is nervousness, sleeplessness, faintness, backache, headache, bearing-down pains, and irregularities, causing constant misery and melancholia, she should remember that Lydia E. Pinkhnm’s Vegetable Compound made from native roots and herbs will dispel all these troubles. By correct ing the cause of the trouble it cures where other treatment may have failed. Miss Elizabeth Wynn, of No. 205 Bth Avenue, New York City, writes : Dear Mrs. Pinkham:— “For months I suffered with dreadful headaches, pain in the back and severe hemorrhages. X was weak and out of sorts all tho time. Lydia li. Pinkhnm's Vegetable Compound liolpc-<l me when all other medi cine had failed. It seemed to be yist what I needed and qu.iokly restored my health. R- Prussia. Prussian authorities are cal culating the cost of electrifying the line of railroad between Altona ana Kiel, sixty-five miles, with a view, if the plant should not seem too cost ly to test electrical working for a heavy track on a first-class railroad. This line is exception ally straight and level, and has a heavy pansenger traffic, and for this reason is chosen for th experiment; hut whether it is tried or not will depend on the cost of transportation and equip ment. —Engineer, AT THE ZOO.
