Dr. John R. Shannon, who hes

run in THE JACKSONIAN. He
States that, in auawer tathe ads he
haa been running in this papor, he
has been flooded with letters of in
quiry from Rome to Uuaddla.
That is because the people read the
Jacksonian, and the reason they read
Jfc is because we give them spicy read
able stuff, something that is worth
reading. Therefore put. your ads In

Maybe you realize the
business value of
being well dressed; every
body doesn’t. It grows
out of the fact that people
have to judge your ability
and standing by the way
you look, until you give
them something else to
judge by.
That means we’re in a po
sition to increase the busi
ness value of every man in
this town; we’ve got Hart
Schaffner & Marx clothes
for you; and if you live up
to your looks in these
clothes, you’ll be a sure
success in business.
You can’t start too soon,
either.

One of the greatest labor saving de
vices that has ever been Invented ii
being shown for the first time in this
state by W. L. Whitehead. The ma
chine he is showing is an "enemy to
dirt” and Is the only machine guar
anteed to wash clean any garment
that can be washed by hand. Besides
being an ideal washing machine, it 1-.
rons perfectly all straight edged gar
ments wlthont the time and labor
spent over the fire.
This machine is simple in construe
tion and can be operated or handled
by a child. It embodies the samo
principle as washing by band, bat
does it without the wear and tear to
the clothes which is so pronounced
and unavoidable lu the rubbing on
the washboard.
It will wash a tablecloth and 2 doz
en napkins in 80 seconds; a bed
spread or wool blanket in 80 to 40 se
conds ; a 4 to 5 pound bod comfort j
better in 5 minutes than can be dona
in any other way, without injury in
ten hours. It will do an entire wash
ing in half tho time, with half tho fuel
ono thitd the labor and ono eighth
the weah required by the hand, wash
board, or any other make of washing
machine,
Mr. Whitehead will he glad to come
to your home and show you this ma
chine, or you may call at his place
of business In Jackson and see it lu
operation.
