Clayton Thaxton was with homefolk Saturday and Sunday. Mr. William Elder and Miss Effie, visited friends here Mon day. Mr. Edd Friese spent Sunday with the family of Mr. I. H. Mad dox. Mrs. A. F. McMahon enter tained Miss Tingling while in our town. Mr. J. M. Finley has been suf fering considerably from a car buncle. The friends of Mrs. J. L. Wag ner regret to hear of her Indis position. Miss Estelle Rutlege left Sun day for Atlanta to work for Regintein. John Henry Pope of Worth ville, was in town Saturday on business. Miss Minnie Browning was out of the store last Friday on ac count of sickness. Mr. Homer Barnes had a pleas ant visit Sunday to Mr. T. A. Saunders at Stark. Mrs. J. L. Lockhart has return ed home after a lengthy visit to relatives in Athens. Miss Lois Rogers left Sunday for Zebulon to attend the funeral of her grandfather. J. T. Edwards, one of the prominent citizen of Flovilla, was in our midst on Monday. Mr. J. T. Smith’s mother left Friday for Newnan to see her sister, who is very sick. Miss Mervine Jones is the guest this week of Mrs. Russell Meredith of Jenkinsburg. Mrs. Lizzie Freeman of Grif fin, is the guest of Mrs. F. M. Maddox on Second street. Bailey and children,'' who went to Locust Grove last week to see a sick relative, have returned and report the child is some better. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Sasnett ar rived Sunday night from Hape ville, and were the guests of Mr. R. P. Sasnett and family the first of the week. After a few days stay with Mrs. J. B. Guthrie, Miss Laura Holifield left Sunday for McDon ough, to visit the family of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Wynn who were in Jackson last week to at tend the funeral of Mr. J. O. Beauchamp, returned to their home in Harlem Monday. The eight months old infant of Dr. and Mrs. Waits, died at their home in Flovilla Sunday. The funeral services were held Mon day afternoon at three o’clock. Interment was at Flovilla ceme tery.
