The holes are bad and plentiful and the candidates are just as thick. But it wont be long before they will have to be thinned out to one in a hill. Quite a surprise was created during the singing last Sunday afternoon at Macedonia, when someone rushed in the house and for Judge Andrews, as someone wanted to see him at once out side. And on going to the door decided someone was playing a joke on on him. But on being assured they was not. and going out to the party want ing him, was handed a marriage license. The couple proved one Mr. W. C. Pennell, formerly of Jasper county but more recently of Jackson and Miss Effie Wal drup, of Jasper county. They had slipped across the river to get married, and married they were right there and then sitting in the buggy in the presence of a few who gathered around, and after a word or two of explana tion they went on their way re joicing.
