Tom Thurston has sold his re
pair shop to Mr.’ R. R. Brooks.
Mr. Thurston has accepted a
traveling position, and will be
gin his new work Monday.
Dr. J. Lee Byron represented
the Butts County Medical Society
in the State Medical Association,
which has been in session for the
last three days at Fitzgerald.

daughter, Alice, will arrive the
latter part of the week from New
York to visit Mrs. Koogle’s par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Johnson.
Dr. Bob Crawford has returned
from Jenkinsburg, where he has
been attending little Elizabeth
Atkinson, through her recent ill
ness and report her out of dan
ger.
An all day singing will be held
at Pepperton the fourth Sunday.

Mrs. L. D. Moore, who has
been visiting in Monticello,
stopped over in Jackson as the
guest of Mrs. Moon, Saturday
and Sunday en route to her home
near McDonough.
Clinton Woods and Robert May
of Jasper county, were in Jack
son Sunday, en route to Atlanta.
They returned Monday night and
made a social visit to friends
before returning home.
The Jackson base ball club held
a meeting Saturday afternoon at
which George Mallet was elected
manager and E. C. Hanes, cap
tain, Jackson will play Locust
Grove at an early date.
Messrs J. C. Spivey and Britton
Edwards of Macon spen.t Sunday
at Hotel Buchanan as the guest
of Miss Maude Edwards. These
young men were so favorably
impressed with our city etc.,(?)
they contemplate an early return.
The 'OB graduating class of
Locust Grove Institute, fifteen in
number, came down Monday to
have their pictures made. In the
afternoon they enjoyed a picnic
at Indian Spring, returning to
Locust Grove on the evening
train.
Mrs. Oscie Thaxton and baby,
who have been visiting relatives
in Jackson for several ;days, left
Saturday for a visit to Dublin,
before returning to Norman
Park. Miss Bessie accompanied
them to where she spent
the day.

will entertain at a family reunion
in the near future, Mr. and Mrs.
Koogle and child, of New* York;
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Jordan and
child, of Broxton; Mr. and Mrs.'
