Comp Saunders having made applica
tion for titles to be executed to him to
certain land described in a bond for
titles thereto attached purporting to be
signed by J. R. Wright, late of said
county, deceased, the said application
alleging that said land has been fully
paid for, all parties concerned are here
by notified that said application will be
heard before the Court of Ordinary on
the first Monday of March, 1909. This
February 2d, 1909.

ing, in proper form, applied to me for
permanent letters of administration on
the estate of Lucian Saunders Wood
ward, late of said county, this is to cite
all and singular the creditors and next
of kin of Lucian Saunders Woodward,
to be and appear at my office within
the time allowed by law, and show
cause, if any they can, why permanent
administration should not be granted
to Mis. Eliza Elizabeth Woodward, on
said Lucian S. Woodward’s estate.

By virtue of an order granted by the
Court of Ordinary of said county, at
the regular February, 1909, term of said
court, will be sold before the court
house door in the town of J ackson,
Butts county, Georgia, on the first
Tuesday in March, 1909, between the
legal hours of sale, to the highest bidder,
the following real estate, to-wit: One
house and lot in the city of Jackson,
said state and county, said lot fronting
230 feet on North Oak street, and run
ning oaek west 240 feet, and bounded
north by lot of W. T. Scarbrough, east
by Oak street, south by lot of J. A.
Jarrell and west by lot of G. W. Kins
man and Comp Saunders, and contain
ing 11-4 acres said house situated on
same being a 9-room, one-story house
and on said lot is situated a barn 40
feet by 48 feet, and a servant house 15
feet by 30 feet. Also at the same time
and place will be sold an undivided
one-third interest in and to the block
of brick buildings lying south of the
main building of the Carmichael-Eth
eridge-Smith Cos., on South Oak street,

Mr. R. V. Smith is on a busi
ness trip to South Georgia this

Mrs. F. M. Lawson's many
friends are sympathizing with
her in the death of her mother,
Mrs. M. C. Wright.
Mies Lula Dozier went to At
lanta last Friday where she was
met by her brother and sister,
Prof. W- A. Dozier of Riverside
Academy and Miss Marianne
Dozier of Brenau, Gainesville.
They spent the week-end with
friends.
The February term of the City
Court convened Monday, Febru
ary Bth, at 10 o’clock. Several
misdemeanor cases were tried
and some were carried over for
the March term of the court.
Prominent among the visiting
attorneys who attended the city
court Monday were: Col. W.
A. Thompson of Macon, Cols. Y.
A. Wright and J. T. Moore, of
Jackson.
