Avery enjoyable occasion was
the musical Riven by the Misses
Swint Saturday night. A great
number was present to enjoy the
good music.
Miss Rosa Thompson and Mr.
Horace O’Neal worshipped at
Macedonia Sunday.
Mr. Jack Leverette and Miss
Ghittie Cook of Jenkinsburg vis
ited here Sunday.
Mr. J. R. Harris has returned
home after a two weeks stay at
Juliette.
Miss Ruth Hardy was the guest
of Miss Clara Harper Sunday.
Mr. B. F. Hamlin and Miss
Bessie Smith spent Sunday with
the former’s grandmother, Mrs.
Hamlin, near Jackson.
A lovely home wedding was
that of Sunday morning when
Miss Dovie Thaxton and Mr. Ray
mond Cook of Monticello were
united in holy wedlock. The cer
emony was performed by Rev.
Z. E. Barron. They are both very
popular with the young people,
who wish them much happiness.
They left Sunday night for Ha
zlehurst where they will reside
for some time.

here, have returned to their home
in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Mr. Arthur Bankston of Atlan
ta spent his vacation with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J.
Bankston, some time ago.
We regret to know of the illness
of Mrs. I. P. Middlebrooks. We
hope for her a speedy recovery.

typoid fever, is now visiting her
cousin, Miss Carriiu Harper.

The Kimbell Association which
convened here last Wednesday
and Thursday, was largely atten
ded. Among the many who were
present were: Prof. A. H. S.
Jackson of Bessie Tift college,
Rev. Mr. Gilmore of McDonough,
Rev. Mr. Barksdale of Mercer
University, Messrs. F. S. Ether
idge, J. H. Carmichael, Jackson.

tered Wesleyan College.
Mrs. Mollie Harper of Stark is
the guest of Dr. and Mrs. J. W.
Harper.
Mr. Leonard Leverette, who
holds a responsible position in
Columbus. Ohio, spent three
weeks during his vacation with
his father, Mr. J. H. Leverette.
We are glad to welcome Mr.
and Mrs. George Gilmoreand fam
ily who have recently moved from
Jackson to our town.
Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Cawthon
occupy the house which Mr. and
Mrs. Z. E. Barron vacated when
they moved to Jackson.
Miss Florence Morrison of
Jackson is visiting Mrs. O. S.
Duke for several days.
Jenkinsburg High School will
open Monday, Sept. 28th. Prof.
