MR. J. B. THOMAS TO
ENTER BUSINESS HERE
Mr. J. B. Thomas, of Lake
land, Fla., with his family, con
sisting of his wife and two small
children, will arrive in the city
Thursday to make Jackson his
home in the future. Mr. Thom
as will be accompanied by his
father-in-law. Dr. Pope, former
president of the Louisville Fe
male College, who will reside in
this city.
It will be recalled that Mr. W.
M. Taylor recently exchanged his
grocery and home in Jackson for
an orange grove of 1,220 acres in
Lakeland, and as a result of this
deal Mr. Thomas comes to this
city and Mr. Taylor goes to Flor
ida, for which point he left in
his car Tuesday.
The people of Jackson will ex
tend to Mr. Thomas and family a
cordial welcome and hope that
their stay here will be pleasant
and profitable.
The many friends of Mr. J. A.
Joyner, a grocer and salesman of
many years experience, will be
be glad to know that he is
connected with the new firm and
he will be pleased to have his
friends call on him.
