Official Organ Butts County
And the City of Jackson.
Welcome to the “Power City.”
Have you a little highway in
front of your door?
All highways lead to Jackson,
the “Power City.”
Gladukum. “Sight seeih&” fel
lows. Come again and stay
longer.
Butts county’s great fair this
fall will be the biggest show in
middle Georgia.
Honest now, you tourist fel
lows, rather like Butts county’s
fine roads don’t you?
In their swing around Georgia
that “Seeing party” have seen
enough to entertain them for a
right smart while.
Macon has launched her first
water craft on the Ocmulgee but
this doesn’t mean that Macon is
on the water wagon.
The school boy that doesn’t
proceed to get on familiar terms
with the ol’ swimmin’ hole just
naturally has the hookworm.
When you want the best road
from Macon to Atlanta ask the
tourists and they’ll tell you to
com* 1 through Jackson and Indian
Springs.
Well, we thought the Dixie
highway would recognize the
shortest route, the best roads and
the leading attractions. And so
it did and Jackson is a winner.
The gink that started the one
about the weekly editors wearing
silk socks to the press meet in
Eastman ought to be pulled. Be
lucky to wear sox of any descrip
tion.
Jackson welcomes the “Seeing
Georgia” tourists with a sincere
and hearty welcome and hopes
they will come again. They are
the apostles of better roads in
Georgia.
Just when Griffin thought she
was the onliest pebble on the,
beach her dream was rudely ’
shattered and she is lucky to find '
herself on the left wing of the
Dixie highway.
Now just watch Jackson and
Indians Springs capture three
fourths of the travel over the
Dixie highway between Atlanta
and Macon. For better roads,
the South’s most famous health
resort and the shortest route will
ccunt.
