Sniffs Mill Repirter.
SUNDAY APRIL 2nd.,
BY M. H THOMPSON.
Owing to the absence of our lead
dig Editor the Reporter has failed
!o make its appearance for the last
two weeks.
Business lively.
Corn planting, on up-land, is
about over. As far as we can learn
ft birrge acear has been planted.
* h arm ere stili report the prospect
for wheat and oats, very promising,
a large yield is expected.
The health of our community is
very good ; distressingly so for doc
tors. Some very fine trout, are be
ing caught, in OcMulgee river, near
this place.
Remarklc! Not a ton of guano,
has crossed the river, at this pi ace,
this this season ; Heretofore large
quantities has benn brought in to
the county, from Forsyth, Griffin,
and other places.
Messrs W. B. Dozier and A, 0, Mil*
Jin, contemplate going into busi
ness. some where on the new rail
road ; They are yotmg men of fine
business qualification and will ear
ly with them the good wishes of all
who know them ns well as plenty of
experience and capital to begin bus
iness with, *
Mr. 11. L, Thompson, lias pm
chased a residence and business
lot, at the new station near the
Spring with a view of improving it
some time soon.
W. I>. Dozier will leave tomorrow
for Atlanta, for the purpose of pur
chasing anew stock Of spring goods ;
Something nice mat I>o expected
whon ho returns.
The Smiths Mills flouring mill
will soon have new bolting cloth’s
and then we expect to hat? more
business than one ghssy miller can
attend to.
The public roads have all been
well worked and now it don’t make
any difference who is or is not, ex
empt from road duty; that subject
wiil he discussed at the next regu
!. c road working.
Tbe Editor of this paper having

Browns Iron Bitters
is one of the very few tonic
medicines that are not com
posed mostly of alcohol or
whiskey, thus becoming a
fruitful source of intemper
ance by promoting a desire
for rum.
Brown’s Iron Bitters
is guaranteed to be a non
intoxicating stimulant, and
it will, in nearly every case,
take the place of all liquor,
and at the same time abso
lutely kill the desire for
whiskey and other intoxi
cating beverages.
Rev. G. W. Rice, editor of
the American Christian Re
view, says of Brown’s Iron
Bitters:
Cifli, 0., Nov. i6, 1881.
GeiitS:—The foolish wast
ing of vital force in business,
pleasure, and vicious indul
gence Of our people, makes
your preparation a necessity \
and if applied, will save hum
dreda who resort to Saloons
for temporary recuperation.
Brown’s Iron Bitters
has been thoroughly tested
for dyspepsia, indigestion,
biliousness, weakness, debil
ity, overwork, rheumatism*
neuralgia, consumption,
liver complaints, kidney
troubles, &c., and it never
fails to render speedy and
permanent relief;
Many miserable people drag tlum
se v's about with failing strength, feel
ing that they are steadily sinking in r .o
their graves, when by using Parker’s
(linger Tonic they would find a cure
commencing with the first dose, and
vitality and strength surely comitg hack
to them. See Other column.
