The Betsy Hamilton entertainment at the Institute chapel last week was a most eujoyable occasion. Mrs. Moore, nee Mrs. Ploughman, is inimitable in her character sketches and fully sus tained her reputation. The managers had reserved a treat for the audience which was not on the programme. Miss McKie, the talented director of the mu sic department of Jacksou Institute, ap peared, and made two charming recita tions which captured the audience com pletely. Indeed her elocutionary talent is remarkable. Her impersonation in “Raggedy Man” was perfect; her gestic ulations aud facial expressions indicated a true conception.
