rell is a brother-in-law, and Mrs.
Sarah Terrell is the only sister of
.Judge Anderson. This visit is being
mutually enjoyed by all the parties
since many years have passed since

The Argus had a pleasant call this
week from Mr. J. W. Brooks of the

the pleasantest men we have ever

Misses doodah and Hitchins, Mr.
Brown and Col. Hall returned early
Monday from Griffin, where, since
Friday evening, they have been the
guests of friends. The young ladies
were hospitably entertained by Mrs.
Lee C. Manley, and were therecipi
tanrs of many social courticies. It
was a delightful visit and will always
be remembered pleasantly by the
entire party. s
SMALLPOX.
A Case ol Smallpox at
Fincherville.
The grand jury now in
session ordered an investigation
of the supieious illness of Harri
son Cawthon at Fincherville,
aud Judge Carmichael employed
an Atlanta expert to investigate
the disease.
Dr. * ampbell, the expert,
went out yesterday morning and
in the afternoon on his return
reported that Cawthon had a
genuine case of smallpox
Steps have been taken to have
the infected houses guarded and
the connty has furnished vaccine
points with which the people are
being rapidly vaccinated.
