gin, and Miss Lillie Childs, of

Carter this week.
I)r. B. F. Akin has purchased a
new auto. He will soon tear away
the old modern building now occu
pied by him and build a handsome
new brick structure.
Messrs. C. D. Riggs and W. S.
Dame have been transferred from
the Jenkinsburg office to the Jack
son office of the Southern Railway.
Their many friends in Jenkinsburg
regret the loss of these two popular
young men.
The sensation of the hour is the
marriage of Mr. H. C. Childs,
Cashier of the Bank of Jenkins
burg, to Miss Minnie Hammond, of
Elgin. Both are very poputar, and
their many friends here extend
heartiest congratulations.

Points Regarding the Census
The census begins April 15 and
must be completed in two weeks in
cities and in thirty days in all ether
areas.
The enumerators will wear a badge
inscribed “United States Census,
1910.”
The law requires‘every adult per
4on to furnish the prescribed infor
mati >u, but also provides that it

that no injury can come to any per
son from answering the questions.
The President lias issued a pro
clamation, calling on all citizens to
•ooperate with the Census and assur
ing t irem that it has nothing to do
with taxation, army or jury service,
•ompulsory school attei dance, reg
ulation of immigration, or enforce
ment of any law, and that no one
cun Ate injured by answering the in
quiries.
It is of the utmost importance
that the census of population and
tgriculture in this State be complete
and correct.
Therefore every person should
promptly, accurately, and complete
ly answer the Census questions ask
ed by the enumerators.
