T. -Goodman. DEMOSTHENIAN DEBATING SOCIETY EN TERTAINS YOUNG LADIES. The Demosthenian Debating So ciety entertained the young ladies of the Phi Theta Sorority at a de lightful picnic at Cedar Rock on Tuesday afternoon. The jolly crowd left the school grounds immediately after school and returned about 6 o’clock. Many enjoyable feats of climbing the rock were participated in. Then came the luncheon, and the boys declared the girls were highly versed in culinary arts. The hour for leaving came all too soon, and as the party dispersed to their separate homes, each declared that it was the finest picnic ever. Those who went were: Misses Helen Carmichael, Corinne Watts, Margaret Sams, Janie Phinazee, Helen Ham, Fredna Allen, Julia Andrews, Mary Helen Crum, Evie Maddox, Mannie Belle Jinks, Flor rie Mackev, Willie Harmon, Nellie Florence Moore, F.llie Jarrell, Jarrell. Phone 150 INDIAN SPRING SOCIAL NEWS CORNELL-DOltlN. The marriage of Miss Lillian Cornell and Mr. Oliver D, Dolvin, of Atlanta, occurred Wednesday afternoon at 5 o’clock at her home. The ring ceremony was perform ed by Rev. J. A. Sprayberry, of the Methodist church of Flovilla, in the presence of only the relatives. In the living room, where the ceremony was performed, the altar was banked with palms, ferns and roses. The bride wore a traveling suit of blue crepe ratine with hat, shoes and gloves to match. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Dolvin left for Atlanta. They will be at home to their friends after May 15th at Indian Spring. In the winter they will reside in Atlanta; Levi Scoville is rapidly recover ing from his recent illness. A party of six motored herefrom Athens Sunday to spend the day. Miss Anna Keith and the mem bers of her Art Class have issued invitations to their semi-annual ex hibition of paintings to be held this Saturday afternoon up-stairs in the Crum building.
