WORTHVILLE. Prof. R. L. Hamil, of Griffin, will teach a ten days singing school at this place, beginning July 26. Mr. Rupert Washington spent Saturday in Atlanta. Mrs. Florence Williams and children, of Hampton, are spend ing several days with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Washing ton spent Saturday in Jackson. Miss Margaret Louise Giles vis ited Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Thomp son in Jackson Sunday. Mr. T. G. Carson has returned home after a pleasant visit to relatives in Henry county. Mr. Malvern Barnes and Mr. Arthur Jackson, of Macon, visi ted Flovilla Sunday. Mr. John Williams, of Colum bus, is in the city this week. Miss Lucile Moxley spent the week-end in Jackson the guest of friends. Miss Lurline Torbet is spend ing the week at Cork. Mr. G. R. Lynch, of Macon, is the guest of home folks. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Dozier and Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Smith spent Sunday at the Foy Hotel, Indian Springs. Mrs. R. B. Thompson visited friends in McDonough Sunday. Messrs. J. W. Terrell, W. N. Mayfield, T. G. Preston. W. A. Funderburk and W. G. Preston motored to Covington Sunday to attend an all day singing that was held at the court house. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Preston entertained Sunday for the boys and girls who had been off attend ing school for the past term. Their guests were Misses Lois Allen, Annie Reid Maddox, and Inez Smith, Messrs. Howell and J. Thurman will erect a four-story business building between the Vau dette Theater and the Chamberlin- Johnson-Dubose department store at a cost probably of $50,000. The Adair agency and Rolfe E. Glover of Rich mond, a nephew of Mrs. Thurman, are handling the details, and will lease the space.
