Rainey, of Dawson, editor of the Dawson News and member of the Prison Commis sion, was a prominent visitor to Jackson Tuesday, having come down to visit the convict camp. In company with Commissioner Gaston and Sheriff Crawford Mr. Rainey was driven out to the camp about nine miles from town. He made an official inspection of the camp and looked over the men and equipment. The Butts county camp has long been rec ognized as one of the best mana ged in the entire state. Mr. Rainey has many loyal friends and supporters in Butts county and the times he has been before the people for election his supporters here complimented him with a substantial majority.
