Craw'ford. Mrs. M. J. Carson has rooms with Mrs. J. C. Adams for the winter months. Dr. A. F. White has been un der treatment in Atlanta for the past two weeks. Mrs. W. R. Cox and baby, of Mt. Airy, are the guests of Mrs. L. M. Crawford. Mr. Charlie Marks Pittman is attending school at Gordon Insti stitute, Barnesvii'e. Miss Annie Lou McCord spent Saturday and Sunday in Flovilla with Mrs. J. S. Lewis. Mrs. L. D. Singley spent part of the week in Atlanta with her daughter, Mrs. Florence Gres ham. M rs. H. L. Jenkins and children left Wednesday to join Mr. Jen kins. in Macon where they will reside. Mrs. J. W. McCord and grand soo. Harry Bob Butner, are vis iting Mrs. J. W. Matthews, near Griffin. Mr. F. S. Etheridge is spending this week in New York on busi ness and Mrs. Etheridge is vis iting in Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hencely and children returned Sunday from a short visit to relatives in Monroe County. David Settle is at the State College of Agriculture, Athens, where he intends completing the four-year course. Mrs. Ben Franklin and young son have returned to their home in Herndon, after a visit to Dr. and Mrs. R. A. Franklin. Mr. and Mrs. L. iR. Powell, Messrs. Lewis and Wyatt Powell of Newnan were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Newton. Col. and Mrs. John W. Moore, of Atlanta, and Mr. R. E. Stan field, of Cordele, spent Sunday here with Mrs. Stanfield and Miss Jane Stanfield. Mrs. H. H. Hooten, of Atlanta, and Mrs. Z. M. Leverette and little daughter, Jane, of Thomson are guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Maddox. Mrs. Leverette leaves in a few days to join Mr. Leverette at Louisville, where he is studying at the Baptist Seminary, Mr. T. E. Redman, of Helena, spent the week here with rela tives. Mr, A. Nolen, Miss Clara Nolen, Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Nolen and Margaret moto red to Covington Sunday and spent the day with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Joyner and baby, of Detroit, are guests of relatives here. Mr. Joyner has been transferred from Detroit to Atlanta, where he and his fam ily will reside. Mrs. A. F. Whitney has re turned from Atlanta and her friends will be glad to know that she is greatly improved. She is is now with her mother, Mrs. Rose Carmichael. The ladies of the Methodist church met Friday of last week at the home of Mrs. Marshall Fin lev and spent the day sewing for the children of the Decatur or phanage.
