Agnew, of Canton, is visiting Mrs. T. H. Nolen. Tom McKibben was over from Eatonton, part of the week. Mr. J. T. McAlister spent part of the week in Laurens, S. C. G. E. Rice spent a few days of the past week in Milledgeville. Miss Viola Slaughter spent Tuesday and Wednesday in At lanta. Mrs. C, A. Butner will spend the week-end in Macon with rel atives. Mr. T. B. McMichael, of Plains, spent the week-end in Jackson. Mrs. Fred Ball and little son, Of Bronwood, are guests of Mrs. J. M. Ball. Mr. B. A. Cook, of Jenkins burg, transacted business in the city Monday. Miss Nettie Rae Pittman spent Sunday with Miss Kate Barney in Monticello. Mrs. 0. P. Heath, of Macon, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. I. J. Slaughter. Mrs. Clayton Buchanan, of Macon is spending the week with Mrs. C. W. Buchanan. Mrs. S. B. Kinard had as her guest, this week, her sister, Mrs. Spurling, of Atlanta. Mr. George Miller, of Atlanta, is the guest of his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Isaac Miller. Mrs. P. W. Nolen and Marga ret returned Saturday from a week’s visit in Athens. Mrs. J. A. Middlebrooks, of Jenkinsburg spent Tuesday with Mrs. W. B. Thompson. Mrs. J. M. Currie, Mrs. J. T. Harris and Mr. 0. A. Pound spent Monday in Atlanta. Misses Wall and Neal, of Mc- Donough, were guests for the week-end of Mrs. Olin King. Mesdames Woodruff and Nolan, of McDonough, were Mrs. Verna Wright’s guests part of the week. Dr. and Mrs. A. F. White and Miss Virginia White, of Flovilla, were visitors to the fair Tuesday. Mrs. J. L. Byron, Mrs. J. B. Hopkins and Miss Ezra Morrison "were visitors to Atlanta, Satur day. ~ . . While in the city, Tuesday, Hon. M. L. Brittain, of Atlanta, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. 0. Ham. Mr. and MrS. Davis and little daughter, Dorthy,. spent several days of the week with Mrs. C. W. Buchanan. SOCIAL REALM ; Mrs. T. H. Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Elder, of Toronto, Canada, who are visiting relatives at Flovilla, were visitors to the fair this week. Mrs. J. 0. Beauchamp leaves this week for Culloden to spend the winter months with her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Winn. Mrs. E. H. Stephens is expec ted home the latter part of next week from Williamsport, Penn., where she spent the summer. The delegates to the U. D. C. convention at Columbus, elected at the last chapter meeting, are Miss Carrie Knott and Mrs. L. L. CFKelly. Mrs. J. E. Lane, of Universi ty, Virginia, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. C. W. Buchanan and is receiving a cordial welcome from her many friends. Mrs. J. S. Cummings, of Flo villa, Mrs. Stanberry, of Atlanta and Miss Lois Dowdle, of Athens spent several days of the week with Mrs. C. A. Butner and Miss Annie Lou McCord. Mrs. H. W. Copeland, Mrs. J. B. Carmichael, Mrs. J 5 H. Tur ner and Mrs. R. W. Oxford will be hostesses to the U. D. C. chap ter members at the November meeting, at the home of Mrs. Copeland. Rev. and Mrs. McMahon were guests part of the week of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Carmichael and Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Carreker. Mr. McMahon has recently accep ted a call to a Baptist church in Albany and will move from Ea tonton to that place. Walker was called and accepted the pastorate of the Flovilla Baptist church, Sunday. Several Flovilla citizens attend ed the quarterly conference of the Methodist church, Monday, at Juliette. Miss Margarette Giles has re turned from McDonough where she was called to nurse a patient for Dr. J. G. Smith. The many Flovilla friends of Mrs. Jennie Whitaker, of Jen kinsburg, were grieved to hear of her death last week and extend sympathy to her bereaved ones. Mrs. J. L.
