C. Childs, of Jenkinsburg, died Sunday af ternoon at 7 o’clock, after a short illness. The little one was sick for only one day, his death com ing as a great shock to his fam ily and a wide circle of friends. The youth was a great favorite with all who knew him and was a lad of great promise and his sudden passing cast a gloom over the community. He is survived by his father and mother, one brother, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hammond. The funeral was conducted at the Jenkinsburg Baptist church Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock by Rev. Greer and family have returned to Jackson after a year’s residence in Flo villa. Mr. E J. Thompson, of Cork, has been spending this week in Flovilla with friends and rela tives. Mrs. Julius Greer and Mrs. J. D. Persons arrived Tuesday from Monticello for a visit of several days with Dr. and Mrs. A. F. White. Miss Falma Funderburk re turned Sundav from a pleasant visit to relatives in Atlanta. Dr. A. F. White and Master Alfred White spent Tuesday in Atlanta. Mr. Leon Goodman, of Glades ville, has accepted a position at Dr. White’s drug store and will be pleased to have his friends call.
