BARACA GLASS HOLDS AN
INTERESTING MEETING
The monthly business meeting
of the Baraca Class held on Mon
day night in the Sunday School
• room of the Baptist church prov
ed to be of much interest and
was largely attended.
After passing upon the general
routine of business, as was an
nounced, Hon. J. T. Moore ad
dressed the class, his subject be
ing “Preparedness.” Mr. Moore
brought to his hearers a message
of convincing truths that were
uplifting and helpful to this class
of men who are now waging a
campaign in Jackson to reach
every man that is out of the
.Sunday School.
Refreshments were served at
the conclusion of Mr. Moore’s
address.
Col. H. D. Russell will speak
to the Baraca’s at the next busi
ness meeting, Monday night,
March (>, and every member is
requested to be present and bring
with him some friend whom he
may interest in this work.

the people generally will be the
announcement of Mr. J. C. Tol
leson for Tax Collector. His en
try into the political arena is
made this week. Mr. Tolleson is
a citizen who is held in the most
favorable esteem and is well liked
by the people in all sections. He
