PIMPLES AND SKIN
ERUPTIONS DANGER
SIGNS OF BAD BLOOD
First Sign of Blood Disease.
(Pimples, scaly itching skin, rashes,
burning sensations and Scrofula denote
with unfailing certainty a debilitated,
weakened and impure state of the
blood. The trouble may have 'been in
vour blood from birth, but no matter
how you were infected, you must treat
it through the blood. It is a blood dis
ease. You must use S. S. S., the stand
ard, blood tonic for -50 years, if you ex
pect relief. For purifying the system,
nothing is equal to it. The action of
S. S. S. is to cleanse the blood. It soaks
through the system direct to the seat
,of the trouble—acting as an antidote
;to neutralize the blood poisons. It re
vitalizes the red blood corpuscles, in
creases the flow so that the blood can
properly perform its physical work.
The dull, sluggish feeling leaves you—
the complexion clears up. Even long
standing cases respond promptly. But
ryou must take S. S. S. Drugs and sub
istitutes won’t do. Get S. S. S. from
“vour druggist. If you need expert ad

LOCUST GROVE
Prof. W. T. Smally and Mr.
Fred Smith were in Atlanta Mon
day in the interest of the Gray
Book, Locust Grove’s annual.
The annual of L. G. I. will repre
sent all the activities of school
life; the friends of the Institute
are looking forward to its appear
ance. It will be the best in years.
Miss Birdnette Manley, of
Jackson, was in Locust Grove
Sunday visiting Miss Lucy Pace.
Electric bells are now installed
in central hall and also in the
boy’s dormitory, which are rung
by the electric clock in the main
building. This arrangement
greatly simplifies the work of the
day. All are more prompt in
getting to the school building,
students of L. G. I. can now keep
right up with Father Time.
Arbon Day was fittingly ob
served at the Institute and at the
grammar school last Wednesday.
Miss Lucy Pace had charge of
the program at the Institute, and
a half holiday was given by the
school. At the grammar school
the children had the whole day
off from their studies.
Prof. Cates visited his home in
Jonesboro recently.
Marist College will journey to
Locust Grove tomorrow to meet
the strong Institute five on the
basket ball court. But Marist
has just succeeded in defeating
Boys’ High by a large score; so
the dope indicates that L. G. I.

YOU’RE BILIOUS! LET
“CASCARETS” LIVEN
LIVERjND BOWELS
Don’t Stay headachy, con
stipated, sick, with breath
bad and stomach sour
Get a 10-cent box now.
You men and women who can’t
get feeling right —who have head
ache, coated tongue, bad taste
and foul breath, dizziness, can’t
sleep, are bilious, nervous and
upset, bothered with a sick, gas
sy, disordered stomach, or have
a bad cold.
Are you keeping your bowels
clean with Cascarets, or merely
forcing a passageway every few
days with salts, cathartic pills or
castor oil?
Cascarets work while you sleep;
cleanse the stomach, remove the
sour, undigested, fermenting food
and foul gases; take the excess
bile from the liver and carry out
of the system all the constipated
waste matter and poison in the
bowels.
A Cascaret to-night will
straighten you out by morning—
a 10-cent box from any drug store
will keep your stomach sweet,
liver and bowels regular for
months. Don’t forget the chil
dren. They love Cascarets be
cause they taste good—never
gripe or sicken, adv.
will have her hands full. It is
readily seen that Locust Grove is
not an athletic town, not exhibi
ting near the interest in sports
that is shown in smaller places.
