A Scant or a Rill 'Tablespoon
WHICH?
A scant tablespoon of Luzianne goes ex
actly as far as a big heaping table
spoon of a cheaper coffee, for you use
only half as much of Luzianne. That's
so positively guaranteed that if, after
using an entire can of Luzianne as
directed, you are not entirely satisfied
with its economy and goodness, your
grocer, on your say-so, will gladly
return your money. Write for our pre
mium catalogue.

We are still in the grip ol' grim

Cheap and big canßaking Powders do not
save you money. Calumet does-it's Pure
and far superior to sour milk and soda.
and let’s use all the common sense
and discretion we can. In the
first place the most of us will have
to contract, some debt during the
year and the idea is to ask your
merchant or banker to fix it so
it wont all come due at once, for
that will force all the cotton and
other products on the market at
one time and that will depress
prices. We ate glad to know the
banks of the country are leading
out on this line. Let us also be
very careful not to risk too much
on cotton and guano this time,
for the European war is likely to
last a long time yet.
We are still having a fine time
these long winter nights roasting
potatoes, playing checkers and
reading the news of the day and
in culling through my library I
love to read the writings of the
great men of the past and these
are some of the things I find: It
was Alexander H. Stephens who
said this: “I fear nothing on
this earth but one thing, and
that is to do wrong.” Mark Twain
said this: “That place in the
world where human nature isnff
the same hasn’t been heard from
yet.” Shakespeare said: ‘‘lf
you want to lose a friend loan
him money, for it is often that
friendship and money both de
part.” Pope said these words:
“Blow, blow ye winter winds,
which are very cold, but there is
nothing so cold as man’s ingrati
tude to man.” All these are
great thoughts and will live as
long as time.
We then opened the Bible and
read from the 23 Psalm and here
listen to the words of sweet sing
er of Israel, the man after God’s
own heart. We imagine when
David sang these words he had
led his father’s flock all day
through the valleys and along the
hill sides ami had stopped for the
night to rest and stood on some
high hill with a crystal stream
winding around its base and its
waters whispering over the rocks
as they murmured to the sea and
out over the valley was a clear,
still lake whose borders were
fringed with a carpet of green
grass. He then lifted his harp
through his fingers on the strings
and said: “The Lord is inv shep
herd, I shall not want; He mak
eth me to lie down in green pas
tures; He leadeth beside the still
waters; He restoreth my soul; He
leadeth me in the paths of light
eousuess for His name’s sake.”
Was there ever anything written
or sung prettier? Never.

TAKE “CASCARETS” F
HEADACHY, BIL OUS
AND CONSTIPATED
Be& for liver and bowels,
bad breath, bad colds,
sour stomach
Get a 10-cent box.
Sick headache, biliousness,
coated tongue, head and nose
clogged up with a cold —always
trace this to torpid liver; delayed,
fermenting food in the bowels or
sour, gassy stomach.
Poisonous matter clogged in the
intestines, instead of being cast
out of the system is re-absorbed
into the blood. When this poison
reaches the delicate brain tissue
it causes congestion and that dull,
throbbing, sickening headache.
Cascarets immediately cleanse
the stomach, remove the sour,
undigested food and foul gases,
take the excess bile from the liver
and carry out all the constipated
waste matter and poisons in the
bowels.
A Cascaret to-night will surely
straighten you out by morning.
They work while you sleep—a 10-
cent box from your druggist
means your head clear, stomach
sweet and your liver and bowels
regular for months, adv.

People who use Peruna
Mrs. T. Freeh, R. R. 1, Hickory Point, Tenn., writes: “I am happy
to tell you that I am cured of catarrh. Having been afflicted with
catarrh and stomach trouble for seven years, and after having tried four
different doctors, who only relieved me for a little while, I gave up all
hope of being cured. I was induced to try Peruna, and to my great
surprise lam now entirely well. My health never was better.’*
FOR INDIGESTION
Mrs. W. R. Whitehead, R. R. 1, Pryor, Oklahoma, writes: “I am
happy to tell you that I keep free from my old stomach trouble; feel no
catarrhal symptoms at all. I am able to do my work, eat and drink
what I want, and rejoice to know that I found a sure cure in your
valuable medicine. I think it saved my life. By beginning in time with
Peruna I was cured sound and well.”
