Dr. VanDeventer, Mrs. Ether idge, Mr. and Mrs. Furlow en joyed the bright spring sunshine and the luxury of the Dr.’s hand some car for an outing to the springs. Her hundreds of friends will rejoice in this good news, snd hope she will soon be entirely well. The cottage prayer meeting will be held at the New Elder Tuesday evening. These weekly prayer meetings do great good— much interest is felt. Mr. Miller, the Presbyterian minister, will preach Sunday af ternoon at 3 o’clock. All are cor dially invited. The candy pulling that will be given Saturday night by Miss Mary Florence Hamlin is expect ed to be an enjoyable affair. The many friends of Mr. Ed Murray will be pained to know he has been suffering with acute in digestion. Mr. J. W. Burch was a recent visitor to Bibb but has returned to Macon. Messrs. John Maddox, Jr., and Watts Maddox motored to Macon Sunday and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Collins. Mr. J. W. McDaniel was the guest Monday night of his sister, Mrs. M. S. Maddox, and his mother, Mrs. Amanda McDaniel. Mrs. M. S. Maddox visited Mrs, Nannie Hamlin Monday after noon. • Mrs. Murray visited Mrs. Amanda McDaniel Sunday after noon, also Mrs. M. S. Maddox.
