Mayo is at work in Wad ley for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Maddux had for their guests at dinner Sunday Mr. I. G. Walker and Dr. W. J. Waits. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Ellis spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Thompson. The announcement of Mr. Eid son Smith’s engagement to Miss Florene Thompson, of Woodbury, is of interest to their many friends in Butts county. M rs. J. A. Maddux, of Macon, and Mr. Leo Gardner, of Atlanta, are visiting relatives here for several days. Dr. A. F. White has returned from a very pleasant trip to Flor ida. Dr. E. B. Elder, of Atlanta, Mr. W. A. Elder of Indian Spring and Mr. Herbert White were guests of Mrs. A. F. White Sun day. The Boy Scouts of Flovilla have organized and had an enthusias tic meeting last Friday evening at the school house with Mr. H. P. Thomas as Scout Master, Messrs. Marvin Thomas, Howell Smith and William Lynch assis tants. The many friends of Miss Jim mie Paullin are sympathizing with her in the death of her brother, Mr. W. B. Paullin. Because of Miss Paullin’s bereavement the recital that was to be given by the music and expression classes March 24, has been postponed until March 31. Mrs. J. L. Holloway spent Sun day in Macon with relatives. Rev. and Mrs. J. T. Pendley have returned from a pleasant trip to Juliette. Mrs. C. D. Ingram, Mrs. R. V. Smith and Mrs. H. G. Vanzandt spent Tuesday in Atlanta shop ping. Miss Marilu Terrell has return ed from a very pleasant visit with Miss Exie Ham in Jackson. The many friends of Mr. W.
