The annual field day of Locust
Grove Institute will be held Sat
urday, April 1, between the two
societies. Contestants have been
practicing for several weeks and
besides the regular field events

suck race. Prof. Earnest Cray has
charge of the program and the
people of Locust Groye and sur
rounding country are invited to
attend.
Peacock High School was de
feated in Locust Grove Saturday
5 to 0 by the local team. Pitts of
L. G. I. fanned 18 men in seven
innings. The visitors got two
hits, while the locals drew five.
