GAINS TWENTY THREE POUNDS “Tanlac Changed Me From a Nervous Wreck to a Healthy Woman,” Says Mrs. Burgin “When I told my husband I wanted a bottle of Tanlac he said *You might as well throw your dollar out in the street, but if you want to try it I will get you a bot tle.” He did get it, and when I had finished taking it he went straight to the drugstore and got another bottle, for he saw the wonderful good it had done me, was convinced it was a grand medicine, and was mighty glad to pay out another dollar,” said Mrs. G. R. Burgin, of 214 Second street, Birmingham. “Since I began taking Tanlac,” continued Mrs. Burgin, “it looks like everv time I look in the mir ror I am heavier, and no wonder, for I went from 80 pounds to 103 —a gain of twenty-three pounds. It took just five bottles of Tanlac to do this for me. Besides, it has changed me from a sick, rundown, worn-out and nervous wreck into a healthy woman, and I now feel like living. “Reallv, I had gotten so weak I couldn’t hardly lift a scuttle of coal to the fireplace. My kidneys were all out of shape; I was too nervous to sleep and my stomach was all out of order. I was in this verv condition three long years. I was losing ground every day, and lost weight until I was almost a living skeleton. I had about despaired of ever seeing a well dav again, for no kind of medical treatment seemed to help matters in the least. Finally, I got practically helpless. “If anybody would have told me there was a medicine on earth that would increase my weight twenty-three pounds I would have thought them crazy, but as sure as I am alive today, Tanlac did it for me—and only five bottles at that. “It looks like every day I am stronger and feel better. I have a good appetite, and enjoy every thing I eat. Before I began tak ing Tanlac I couldn’t eat hardly anything without becoming nau seated. I sleep sound and am rid of the nervousness. My kid neys bother me no longer. To tell you the truth. I don’t feel like the same person at all since Tanlac straightened me out.” ‘‘Yes, Tanlac is the greatest medicine on earth.” said Mrs. Burgin’s father, who entered the room during his daughter’s con versation. “If you could have seen my daughter before she be gan taking Tanlac you would not believe it was the same person who vou see sitting there. She was just about played out. I just came by the drugstore, and know ing her Tanlac was about out I bought her this bottle. If her appetite picks up much more she will come pretty near eating us out of house and home. I guess she has starved long enough,, and It does me a lot of good to see her eat heartily.” Tanlac is sold bv Slaton Drug Cos., in Jackson, and Dr. A. F. White in Flovilla. Rev. F. G. Spear man, the pastor has the matter in charge and he is being assis ted by a committee who will raise the necessary amount for the new building. Judging from the enthusiastic manner in which the subscription has been started it will be a com paratively easy matter to raise all the funds needed. It is pro posed to erect a thoroughly mod ern church edifice, a building that will fill the needs of the growing congregations of this enterprising church. LOCUST GROVE Saturday was a gala day for L. G. I. As is the custom on the first of April there was a faculty “take off” at chapel and the an nual field day was held. The mock chapel seems to have been the best in years. All the mem bers of the faculty were represen ted on the stage and characteris tic things were said and done, all of which furnished much fun and amusement. The campus of the Institute was lined off for the va rious field events and loyal socie ty members had decorated the ropes in their colors. Society spirit was in the air. The day re sulted in a victory for the Philo matheans 114 to 43. Edgar Da vid, of Atlanta, proved the indi vidual point winner, scoring 33 points for his team; Dekerd Gray, of Trion, was second with 26. The baseball game between a picked team from Locust Grove and McDonough and the local school resulted in a narrow vict ory for the latter, 11 to 10. Some oldtime stars lined up against the local team, ‘Chug’ Combs has had considerable experiancein profes sional ball. Regan is manager of the Griffin club, Hawkins now belongs to Durham in the N. C. League, Andy Combs also has baseball reputation, and Stuart Combs was formerly with Georgia Tech. Another game to Locust Grove’s credit. Mercer Scrubbs came out of Macon Monday to cross bats with coach Gray’s squad, and was defeated 4to 3. This proved to be the best of the season for the L. G. I. The management wishes to an. nounce a game with Marist Col lege for tomorrow in Locust Grove. The team is working good now. Will there be another night shirt parade after Gordon comes over on the 13th, and 14th, of April? LADIES READ- Express shipment of beau tiful Suits, new and nifty, $9.98 to sl4 50.
