Power
DON’T overlook this matter of
power. It is important. You
want an automobile that will
carry you through mud, sand and
snow, and do it easily. You want a
car that will climb hills, that will get
away quickly without laboring and
straining its every part.
Not all cars can do these things,
but you know that the Maxwell can
because you have the proof. #
When the Maxwell stock touring
car set the World’s Motor Non-Stop
Mileage Record a few weeks ago, it
encountered all sorts of unfavorable
conditions —rain, mud and hills, over
country and city roads yet it cov
ered 500 miles per day, day after
day, for more than six weeks.
Power, plenty of power, unfailing *
power, is absolutely essential to such
a wonderful performance as this.
Let us give you a booklet telling
all the details of this record breaking
‘ Maxwell car. And let us tell you
about our partial payment plan, by
means of which you can make a cash
deposit and pay the balance while
you use the car. Give us the oppor
tunity and we’ll prove our case.

TRIBUTE TO MISS M. J.
PATTESRON FROM A FRIEND
Death, impartial and imperial,
reaps with Time’s tireless cycle,
the young and the old. ’Tis ever
sad and yet ’tis a part of Provi
dence’s plan. Her reward is
claimed in its fullness. The veil
is lifted and her tired eyes have
opened upon the glorious beauties
of the nightless day. “Blessed
are the pure in heart,” sang out
from Calvary and the better part
of the world has vibrated with
melody since that day. At the
age of 78 there was confided to
the “grave” one of the truest,
tenderest souls. The gentle hands
are folded and the tender voice
is still.
Miss Patterson had that “glo
ry” that gleamed in the gloom of
Gethsemane in her soul and the
light that shone on Sinia in her
eyes. Victory is supreme, she
had reached up her hands long
ago, -past all the clouds of life and
grasped the hand of her Savior
and held on faithfully with a

UNCEASING MISERY
Some Jackson Sufferers
Get Little or
Comfort
There is little sleep, little rest, little
peace for many a sufferer from kidney
trouble. Life is one continual round
of pain. You can’t rest at night when
there’s kidney backache. You sull'er
twinges and “stabs” of pain, annoying
urinary disorders, lameness and nerv
ousness. You can’t be comfortable at
work with darting pains and blinding
dizzy spells. Neglect these ailments
and serious troubles may follow. Be
gin using Doan’s Kidney Pills at the
first sign of disorder. Thousands have
testified to their merit.
Proof in Jackson testimony:
Mrs. J. R. Thurston, Brookwood
Ave., Jackson, says: “I strained my
back while house-cleaning and my kid
neys became overtaxed. I suffered so
that I had to put pillows under my
back and 1 was so sore that I couldn’t
stoop over. The kidney secretions
caused me much annoyance. J
procured Doans’ Kidney pills from
Blaton Drug Cos. and they relieved the
pains in my back and all symptoms of
kidney trouble disappeared.”
