first class condition, and accord
ing to the law. We congratulate
the county on having such effi
cient officials.
We find the dockets of the va
rious J. P.’s and N. P.’s through
out the county kept neatly and
correctly.
Recommendations
We recommend that our Coun
ty Commissioner have a bridge
built at once over the creek
tween J. S. Carter’s and J. L.
Washington’s.
We recommend that Grand Ju
rors, Traverse Jurors and Bailiffs
be paid the sum of $2 per day for
their services, for the ensuing
year, and that riding Bailiffs be
paid $3 per day.
We recommend that these pre
sentments be spread upon the
minutes of the court and that
they be published in The Jackson
Progress-Argus, and that said
paper be paid the sum of $lO for
same.
We commend our janitor. Hen
ry Thomas, for faithful perform
ance of his duties.
