COL. 0. M. DUKE IS INDORSED FOR JUDGE The Butts County Democratic Executive Committee at its meet ing here Wednesday indorsed Col. 0. M. Duke, of Flovilla, for appointment on the State Su preme Court to succeed the late Justice Joseph H. Lumpkin. Col. Duke is a prominent member of the local bar and has many friends not only in Butts countv but over the state who are interested in the action of the county execu tive committee. H. and J. 0. Mad dox motored to Atlanta Wednes day on business. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Washing ton, of Worthville. spent Satur day night with Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Kitchens. A good many from here went to New Hope to the singing conven tion Saturday. Mrs. J. T. Fincher spent Thurs day with her mother, Mrs. Luns ford, in Newton county.
