GOODY Mr. and Mrs. Albert Turner were guests Sunday of Mrs. J. W. Mangham. Mrs. AnnaThaxton and daugh ters. Annie Mae and Nellie, were guests Sunday from E gin preach ing of Mrs. Clara Brooks and daughters. Miss Martha Jane Thaxton spent the week-end with Miss Mary Moore. Miss Sallie Mae Brooks was the week-end guest of Miss Annie Lee Collins. The entertainment held at Mr. Forest Taylor’s Saturday night was largely attended and enjoy ed. Music was furnished by the stringed band from Ola. The singing Sunday night giv en by Misses Ora Belle and Sallie Mae Brooks was highly enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Washing ton spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Thaxton. Misses Florrie Ezell and Rosa Kate Washington spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Callie Thax ton. Mrs. Clyde Colwell and chil dren spent Sunday with her mother. Mrs. Mollie Evans. Messrs. Tommie Joe and Otis Hammond, Walter Mangham, Paul Letson and Miss Myrtle Washington attended the singing at Worthville Sunday and report ed a delightful time. Charlie Tingle was the week end guest of Jerome Washington. Mrs. Sallie Brooks is spending a few weeks with her son, Mr. G. W. Brooks. Mrs. Anna Hale and daughters, Lizzie and Alice, spent Friday in Jackson shopping. Miss Ellen Brownlee was the guest part of last week of her sister, Mrs. George Etheridge.
