Do not leave farm machinery out
in the field where it has been used,
but take it at once into the barn
or machine shed. Clean up the im
plement, oil the bright surfaces, clean
out the oil holes and then plug them
with wood or cotton waste to keep
out the dust. It pays to take good
care of farm machinery. Farm ma
chinery pays best when treated best.

Hold Till You’re Ready—
If ycu need money and don t want to sell what you
own, you’ve got to borrow. Maybe that means a mort
gage, and big commissions for the loan, and the whole
transaction on public record at the courthouse.
That might be good business in case of necessity; but
what would be the common sense of mortgaging your
farm IN ORDER to sell your cotton for whatever you can
get right then?
Why not hold the farm AND BORROW ON THE
COTTON? Why not warehouse the cotton and borrow*
on it at low interest, with no commissions to pay and no
record at the courthouse?
Many a man around in those parts last fail saw the foolishnesa
of soiling his cotton and going poor.' They warehoused it WITH
US, and on our racoipt as security they borrowed money close up
under the market. And they HEED that cotton till the market
offered ’em their price.
Cotton is one of the best securities on earth. It hnsn t
got an enemy except fire and weather. But in order for
you tomorrow money on it, it s GOT to be in responsible
hands, safely stored, fully insured, and it’s got to be
covered by a receipt that is NEGOTIABLE.
Without that kind of receipt for aacurity, you don’t find ready
loans at reasonable interest —or sometimes any loans at ail aft
ANY rate.
Bade of the detailed receipt we give for cotton stored with aa
are our equipment, facilities, methods—and FULL responsibility.
We've got room for a quarter of a million bales and then some!
And our guarantse is good beyond the limit.
Store your cotton with us, borrow on our receipt,
and you’ll be laughing at mortgages.
We’ll be mighty glad to serve you exceptionally
well for exceptionally little.
