MRS. BROWN HAS GAINED 20 POUNDS Was Confined to Her Bed and Chair for Over Two Years, and Thought She Would Not Live Long. “You can tell them that it helped my wife, too; and of all the people that have made state ments about getting benefit from Tanlac I believe we have the most cause to be thankful, for Ifelshe thought she wouldn’t be liv ing long and the doctor didn’t give me any encouragement.” This remarkable statement was made by Mr. J. L. Brown, a well known carpenter of College Park, Atlanta, in conversation with Dr. E. B. Elder. Mr. Brown added very seriously that he felt unable to express in words his great ap preciation for what Tanlac had dond for his home and the moth er of his eight children, and then went on to say: “For over two vears she has had to live practically on nothing but milk, being bothered as she j'was with a bad stomach trouble that kept dragging her down un til she was hardly more than a a living skeleton. She didn’t seem to get any strengthening rest at night and simply had no energy for anything. In fact, she spent ab.out all her time be tween her bed and the chair and didn’t feel like taking any inter est in ary thing. “She had a mighty bad break ing out on her ankles, too, and 3$ the way up to her knees and these places would then swell up terribly. Her color was bad, too, and it just looked like nothing on earth could ever do her any good or liven her up. “Well, some strange things happen in this world, and the change in her is certainly one of t them, for it was about a month ago that she was as bad off as she’s been at all, and now she’s a well woman and I am sure a i happy man. She has taken just three bottles of Tanlac and weighs 120 pounds—that is, she’s gained 20 pounds since she began taking it. “My wife now eats heartily, sleeps good and feels as strong as she did years ago. She is now doing all her own housework and cooking and says she will never be able to say enough f about this Tanlac. We don’t mind who you tell about this, for it’s nothing but the plain, simple, truth—and that don’t hurt any body.” Tanlac is sold bv Slaton Drug Cos., in Jackson, and Dr. A. F. There is a Real Difference Cream of tartar, derived from grapes, is used in Royal Baking Powder because it is the best and most healthful ingredient known for the purpose. Phosphate and alum, which are de rived from mineral sources, are used in some baking powders, instead of cream of tartar, because they are cheaper. If you have been induced to use baking powders made from alum or phosphate, use Royal Baking Powder instead. You will be pleased with the results and the difference in the quality of the food.
