DINNER PARTY
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice C. Wright
will entertain at a delightful dinner
party celebrating their wedding an
niversary on Wednesday evening.
CAMPBELL-BURFORD
Miss Ruth Campbell, of Monticello,
and Mr. R. H. Burford were mar
ried Sunday afternoon by Judge J.
H. Ham at his residence on Oak
street. The young couple are receiv
ing the congratulations of their
friends for their future happiness.
DANCE AT ARMORY
The large dance with which the
young men will compliment the
young ladies and visitors at the
armory on Tuesday evening will
be one of the most interesting events
of the week’s social calendar. At
tractive Christmas decorations will
be used and an orchestra from At
lanta will furnish the delightful mu
sic for the occasion.
MOTHERS CLUB ENTERTAINS
WITH CHRISTMAS TREE
A most delightful occasion will be
the Christmas tree with which the
Young Mothers club will compliment
their children, at the home of Mrs.
Otis Ham, Friday afternoon at 4
o’clock.
The weather favoring, the large
tree, which will be beautifully and
appropriately decorated, will be
placed on the lawn where the young
tots can make merry with Old Santa
who will be present to deliver the
gifts from the ladened tree.
Each child is beaming with happy
anticipations of the coming event
which promises to be second in im
portance only to the real visit of
St. Nick on Christmas Eve.
After his distribution of the in
teresting little gifts, Santa will be
entertained at a royal feast by the
youngsters all of whom will be serv
ed at small tables in the living room
and dining room of this hospitable
home.

leave Sunday for a visit to relatives
in Harrisburg, Pa.

spent Monday in Atlanta.

from a visit with her daughter, Mrs.
J. W. Morrison, in Atlanta.
Mrs. Mac Potts, of Winder, is ex
pected Saturday for a visit to her
mother, Mrs. T. M. Furlow.
Miss Kate Smith will leave Friday
to spend the Christmas holidays at
her home in Bishopville, S. C.
David Settle has returned from
Athens where he has been attending
the State College of Agriculture.
Mrs. J. B. Moore and little
daughter, Reba, of Baxley, are vis
iting Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Walthall.
Her friends are glad to know that
Mrs. Elizabeth Curry, who has been
quite sick, is very much improved.

day from the G. N. & I. C. at Mil
ledgeville, for her vacation of ten
days with Miss Annie Crawford and
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Crawford.

will leave Sunday for a motor trip to
Cordele, Americus, Dawson and
other points in South Georgia, in
cluding Sycamore where they will
be guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. J.
Biles. In Dawson they will be en
tertained by Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
Bridges.
