WORST WINTER IN YEARS
Snow, wind and extreme cold caus
ed more colds this winter than in
years. Foley’s Honey and Tar proved
its worth in thousands of homes. Mrs.
Edward Strevy, R. 37, Clinton, 0.,
says: “I think Foley’s Honey and Tar
is the only medicine for coughs and
colds and recommend it highly.” Fine

Secretary Baker Not to Press His Ad
vocacy of Exemption
Washington, Jan. 30.—Secretary
Baker indicated today that he would
not press his advocacy of exemption
of registered men reaching the age of
31 years from the draft unless his
opinion was sought. The Senate com
mittee yesterday decided ot to include
such a provision in the new draft leg
islation after hearing a statement by
Provost Marshal General Crowder op
posing it.
Mr. Baker will go before the House
military committee soon to discuss
various bills proposed by the War de
partment.
FORIALE
Car of shoats, weighing from 30 to
125 pounds, and a few nice brood
sows will be sold at Leach’s Stables.
Arrived on Wednesday and sale will
continue until all are disposed of.
Now is a good time to get a hog
if you want to raise your own meat.

PAPE’S DIAPEPSIN
FOR INDIGESTION OR
SOUR, ACID STOMACH
In F*ive Minutes! No Dys
pepsia, Heartburn or Any
Stomach Misery
Sour, gassy, upset stomach, indi
gestion, heartburn, dyspepsia; when
the food you eat ferments into gases
and upsets you; your head aches and
you feel sick and miserable, that’s
when you realize the wonderful acid
neutralizing power in Pape's Diapep
sin. It makes all such stomach misery
due to acidity, vanish In five minutes.
If your stomach is in a continuous
revolt—if you can’t get it regulated,
please, for your sake, try Pape’s Dia
pepsin. It's so needless to have an
acid stomach—make your next meal
a favorite food meal, then take a lit
tle Diapepsin. There will not be any
distress—eat without fear. It’s be
cause li.pe’s Diapepsin “reaiiy dies”
sweeten <>ui-of-order stomach? that
give it its mTlions of sales annually.
Got a large fifty-cent case of Pipe’s
Diapepsin from any drug store. It is
the quickest, surest antacid and si un
ach relief known. It acts almost like
magic—it is a scientific, harmless and
pleasant stomach preparation which
truly belongs in every home. advt.
Constructive criticism often really
helps. Much of what is passing for
criticism is mostly nagging and belly
aching.
With the coming of warm weather
politics may begin to sizzle, but there
is mighty little interest felt at this
writing.
