WOMEN TORTURED!
Suffer Terribly With Corns
Because of High Heels, but
Why Care Now
Women wear high heels which
buckle up their toes and they suffer
terribly from corns. Women then pro
ceed to trim these pests, seeking re
lief, but they hardly realize the ter
rible danger from infection, say a
Cincinnati authority.
Corns can easily be lifted out with
the fingers if you will get from any
drug store a quarter of an ounce of
a drug called freezone. This is suffi
cient to remove every hard or soft'
com or callus from one’s feet. You
simply apply a few drops directly'
upon the tender aching com or cal
lus. The soreness is relieved at once
and soon the entire com or callus,
root and all, lifts out without one
particle of pain.
This freezone is a stick substance
which dries in a moment. It just
shrivels up the corn without inflam
ing or even irritating the surround
ing tissue or skin. Tell your wife
about this. advt.

TAKE CHILDREN OUT of DANGER
If you saw a child on g railroad
track you would endeavor to remove
the little one from danger. When a
child is “snuffling” or coughing, isn’t
it your duty to get him out of danger
of severe consequences? Foley’s Hon
ey and Tar gives relief from coughs,
colds* croup and whooping cough.

In reply to inquiries regarding the
possibility of redistilling seized spir
its for alcohol the war department has
announced that the small amount of
alcohol recovered, the cost of trans
portation, recooperage, and redistil
lation would make the cost to the
government greater than it is now
paying. The average yield from con
fiscated liquor would not exceed 5
per cent of alcohol.
Half Your Living
Without Money Cost
We are all at a danger point. On
the use of good common sense in our
1918 farm and garden operations de
pends prosperity or our “going broke."
Even at present high prices no one
can plant all or nearly all cotton, buy
food and grain at present prices from
supply merchant on credit and make
money. Food and grain is higher in
proportion than are present cotton
prices.
It's a time above all others to play
eafe; to produce all possible food,
grain and forage supplies on your own
acres; to cut down the store bill.
A good piece of garden ground,
rightly planted, rightly tended and
kept planted the year round, can be
made to pay nearly half your living. It
will save you more money than you
made on the best three acres of cotton
you ever grew! - *
Hastings’ 1918 Seed Book tells all
about the right kind of a money sav
ing garden and the vegetables to put
in it. It tells about tho farm crops a3
well and shows you the clear road to
real and regular farm prosperity. It’s
