WHY V/E SHOULD BUY
THE LIBERTY BONDS
By The Rev. Dr. Charles H. Lee, Rec
tor of St. Pauls Episcopal Church
Buy them because they are Liber
ty Bonds, and buy them to the limit
of your power because they are what
they are.
Buy them because we want to get
into this war, because we will not
have it that our soldiers shall be the
only Americans to fight.
Buy them to keep hell from over
flowing farther on this erath. The
,seas cannot check it. Let our sacri
fices do it.
Buy them and help this nation help
the world.
Buy them to crush the man with
the soul and the eyes of Satan.
Buy them to rescue Belgium.
Buy them in the name of Poland
and Armenia.
Buy them for the sake of the
world’s honor.
Buy them as you remember the
“Lusitania” and will that the seas
shall be safe and free.
Buy the mor own that your money
is more than your soul or than the
world’s or human anguish.
Buy them if you can or your slack
er money will disgrace you in your
own eyes and in men’s and in God’s.
