WHEN EVERY MOVE HURTS
Lame every morning, achy and stiff
all day, worse when it’s damp or chil
ly? Suspect your kidneys and try the
remedy your neighbors use.
Mrs. W. T. Burk, Oak St., Jackson,
says: “My kidneys always were weak
but gave me no serious trouble until
about five years ago when I had an
attack which caused me to suffer
something awful. My back ached and
throbbed with pain and my kidneys
felt as if they were swollen. I was
sore and lame and the least J ll ° ve
would send pains through my bphy.
My sight became blurred and little
black specks floated before my eyes.
Often I could hardly stand from diz
ziness and my kidneys didn’t act
right. I heard of Doan’s Kidney Pills
and began taking them as directed
and they soon entirely cured me of
all signs of this trouble.”

OFFICER FAILED TO
LAND CAR OF BOOZE
Automobile Full of Whiskey Brought
Into County Saturday
An automobile full of whiskey,
that might have been intended for use
on election day, ras brought into
Butts county from Jasper county
Saturday, efforts of Bailiff J. D.
Thomas to hold up the liquor being
unavailing. When the stranger level
ed a long and ugly looking pistol on
the officer, Mr. Thomas thought dis
cretion was the better part of valor
and so the driver pursued the even
tenor of his Fordless way.
During the day Saturday officers
received a tip that the driver was
headed for Pittman’s Ferry with an
automobile full of liquor. Bailiff
Thomas was dispatched to the scene
to hold up the car and capture the
liquor. After being brought across
the river on the ferry the driver of the
car decided he did not want to be
held up and proceeded to do some
holding up himself. He produced a
nasty looking weapon and informed
Bailiff Thomas that unless he wanted
to start an offensive drive that he
would be powerless to stop he had
better not try to interfere. The offi
cer seems to have agreed with the
stranger, whose name was not learn
ed, and he headed his car in the di
rection of Worthville at a rapid rate.
It is said the car contained a vast
amount of liquor.

LIKE AN ELECTRIC
BUTTON ON TOES
Tells Why a Corn is so Pain
ful and Says Cutting Ma
kes Them Grow
Press an electric button and you
form a contact with a live wire
which rings the bell. When your
shoes press against your eom it push
es its sharp roots down upon a sen
sitive nerve and you get a shock of
pain.
Instead of trimming your corns,
which makes them grow, just step
into any drug store and ask for a
quarter of an ounce of freezone.
This will cost very little but is suf
ficient to remove every hard or soft
corn or callus from one’s feet. A few
drops applied directly upon a tender,
aching com stops the soreness in
stantly, and soon the corn shrivels
up so it lifts right out, root and all,
without pain. This drug freezone is
harmless and never inflames or even
irritates the surrounding skin. advt.
